Note to Self, Shopping Edition

Last night I had to exchange something at Kohls, and I couldn’t resist trying on a few cute spring looking things while I was there!  I should have just resisted.

1.  The full-length mirror is not my friend.  Frankly, I don’t want friends who are that honest.  Seriously.

2.  I am not allowed to wear my favorite Punkrose shoes (that Heather got for me some time ago) out in public, where I might have to take them off. Holy cow, they reek! Luckily, I was the only person in the dressing room. I am putting them in the washing machine to see what happens. I love them and don’t want to be done with them!

3. I have a love/hate relationship with babydoll tops or anything similar. Love that they cover up my belly; hate that someone might mistake me for a couple of months pregnant. For the most part, I still don’t think I can wear them without feeling like I’m in maternity wear.

4. I need to check into why the dimples in my arms are not going away yet. I mean, I haul around a rather large baby (sometimes in his carseat) all day long. Why is this not making progress on my pregnancy arm fat?

5. If anyone out there truly loves me, they will buy me this coat in vivid lime, in a medium.

  1. Hey, Mother’s Day is coming. Print the web page with that coat and leave it where Matt can find it. Maybe a handwritten note that says, “Mother’s Day??”

He can get the boys involved in the purchase. You get what you want and they get the idea in plenty of time to get it done. Happiness for everyone!!!

  2. Do you want some gift cards? 20% more off!

  3. Jan, I love this idea! And Mom, with an extra 20% off, how could he say no?

  4. Nicole I couldn’t have said any of that better. The babydoll top, I own two and yes I do feel like I am wearing maternity wear- who cares. I refuse to try clothes on anywhere but at home :-) . I am actually dreading my vacation because of the summer clothes I have to wear and the (gulp) dreaded swimsuit. I could cry now.

  5. those are cute shoes. i love them!

  6. [...] really even look. A lot of the styles now look like maternity clothing, and like my friend Nicole just wrote about, I am afraid people will think I’m knocked up [...]

  7. Don’t take chances on the coat – buy it while it’s still there and have Matt give it to you! It is so cute! And a great sale price!

Don’t tell me you’ve “caught” Matt’s odorous shoe condition! Washing them will help some (temporarily), but smelly shoes are kinda terminal. Sprinkle baking powder in them after wearing – can’t hurt; might help.
