Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, not exactly. I did really throw Luke for a loop this morning by telling him I was going out for my birthday tonight…the look he gave me was priceless! It was actually several weeks ago, but considering the circumstances, it wasn’t a very celebratory time, as my mom passed away two days later.

So tonight, Heather and Megan and I met at MiMi’s Cafe for dinner and lots and lots of talking. I can only imagine what the people at tables near ours were thinking, as our conversation went from cancer to cremation to babies to being pregnant (they both are) to breastfeeding to shoes to psychology to adoption to woodland creatures and the list goes on. And none of us are exactly quiet people. We would have stayed longer had a hurricane not blown into our area (yes, I know that they don’t usually make it this far inland, but one did tonight, I swear).
