Winter Clearance

It’s one of my favorite times of the year…finding deals on clothes for Luke for next season! The Children’s Place was kind enough to email me today to let me know that they have an additional 30% off clearance right now (prices are already adjusted at the site – don’t get excited like I did and think that you’re getting an additional 30% off the listed prices!). Nice of them, huh?

I also quickly found a promo code for an additional 10% off – just type in NEXTJ78 at checkout.

I just went to their site, getting Luke 2 pairs of cords, 3 pairs of jeans (I really love their premium denim for him), a pair of shorts, a short-sleeved polo, a long-sleeved polo and 2 long-sleeved tees for $85. Shipping for any-sized order is only $5, and you can return anything you don’t like in the store (which I usually end up doing…like the washes on all of the jeans won’t be as cool as they look online or something like that).

Happy shopping!

UPDATED TO ADD: A few days ago I mentioned that resale shops were potentially in trouble due to the law going into effect on Feb. 9. Well, the CPSC has issued a clarification of the law which exempts toys and clothes manufactured before Feb 9, 2009. Yippee! Resale shops are safe! There are still serious issues with handmade goods, though, so this isn’t over!

  1. i love this time of year too. my kids are almost always a year off in style but i don’t care. the prices are way too good to pass up.

  2. I was actually at the store at the Mills yesterday and got some great deals… I got a dress, 2 fleece sweatshirts, leggings, underwear and 2 shirts for thirty-some dollars! Love it!!
I’m scheming for a reason to head back out there before the sale is over, as we were rushed for time once I was in there and I really want to be able to scour the racks!!

  3. Gotta love the Children’s Place. You probably have already done this, but be sure to join their Place Perks program. I have gotten several free gift certificates this way!

  4. I referenced your first blog in a link from the update that I received from Once Upon a Child. Maybe someone can make sense of it all to see if homemade items will be ok after this date. Brian and I could not figure it out.

  5. What a mess. Someone with enough money to never have to buy anything second hand is probably sitting at a desk, waving a wand and making these decisions without thinking them all the way through.

And, I’ll bet they really do have wands.

I got the e-mail from CP too! I already have a whole load of stuff in my shopping bag, but the real question is: What size will Jack be next year at this time?
