I take a lot of pictures, and while I’m trying to get better about printing fewer (partly so that I can actually keep up with getting them in albums…I’m currently, ahem, a year behind), I still do have a lot to put in albums.
Since I prefer my albums to be pretty plain, it can be kind of confusing as to which one is older/newer. I came up with this inexpensive idea to keep the albums in date order:
I found the letter stickers at Walmart for about $4, I think. I’ve had to replace one or two due to my toddler, but no big deal!

WOW. So if you come to my house and open a photo album you are likely to start out with Abby age 3 – turn a few pages – find some of my high school pictures – turn another page find Katie’s birth – and then end up with my wedding pictures…………. yeah I am just happy to get the loose photos in a book – no matter what order!!!
Some day I will put them in date order…..some day………
Umm, my pictures are either sitting in a box waiting to be put into an album or on my computer waiting to be printed. I’d be happy just to get to the album stage.
I noticed this the last couple times I was there. Easy idea and looks decent too. Photo albums . . . a sore subject w/ me right now . . . hopelessly behind.
love this! great idea. thanks!
Yeah, this is cool! Kind of looks like a set of encycolpedias. I use my trusty label machine to put dates like Jan ’06-Jul ’07 – but it doesn’t look as nice.
Cool idea…mine arent labeled at all…
