Is It Basketball Season Yet?

OK, OK, Illinois STUNK today vs. Mizzou.  I really don’t want to talk about the game…maybe the worst I’ve ever been present for.  If we were watching at home, I definitely would have left the room to do something else.  It was bad.  And our best player, who was injured on the first play of the game, is rumored to be out for the season with a broken ankle.  Super.  Like I said, bring on the b-ball.

However, despite the horrible game, and despite the horrible weather (which, luckily, broke for a few perfectly-timed hours), we had a fun afternoon.  We tailgated with my brother and his wife and their friends, and had a good time sitting in the suite at the Dome.  Here are a few pictures…I think I have a couple of new favorites of Matt and me!

these were not the shoes i was planning to wear. but the weather made this a good call...goodness, it was muddy.

  2. Wow! Matt looks really upset! Sorry about the loss!!

  3. These pics are so good! Really cute ones of the 2 of you & w/ J & D. Not so cute humidity hair. :( I’m glad I wasn’t sitting beside Matt during this debacle.

  4. Great pics! I promise, tailgating was so much more fun than watching the game! I-L-YIKES!

  5. Too bad. . . and I still wish I could have been there (although not so much to watch the game, but more to see you and show Illini spirit). . . It was probably good that I was in Canada for the game and was in oblivion. I am sure my cursing would have been at a ridiculous state!
