That was just one of many things that Jack Henry yelled to the Cardinals players while at the game a couple of weeks ago on Matt’s birthday, to let the players know that he put his hat on backwards. Because they need to know stuff like this.
We took all three boys to a game last year, but Jack Henry spent most of the time roaming the stadium with Matt or me. This time, he was so into it. Lots of high-pitched shrieking and yelling names of players and eating food and going to the bathroom (this was at the beginning of potty training, so I want it recorded here for posterity that the first place he p**ped in a real toilet out in public was at a Cardinals game..that’s information he’s going to be happy to know when he’s a grown up, I just know it). Hayley came with us to enjoy the game, and we made it to the end (though the Cards lost).
Here are a few pictures to remember our evening!
And Jack Henry in all his glory. If you’re a St. Louisan, you can’t have escaped the radio and TV ads that Mobil on the Run has advertising their quarter drinks if the Cardinals score 6 or more (for those of you outside of town, there’s a song about how six is a serious number). Jack Henry hasn’t escaped hearing it, either!
