It came and went, and I didn’t spend the whole day bawling my eyes out.
In fact, Matt and I brought the boys to school together yesterday, and I didn’t even cry when we left (probably because I had a good cry the night before). Jack Henry walked into school beaming, and confidently led the way to his classroom. I was so proud that there were no last-minute breakdowns!
Of course, this was a big day for the older boys, too: it’s Luke’s last year in elementary (sniff…how did that even happen?) and Bennett is in 3rd grade. Where there’s homework and assignment notebooks and MAP testing. Big kid stuff.
